Zachys Cellar School: Burgundy 201

Zachys Cellar School: Burgundy 201

6-7PM | Go beyond the basics and explore the villages, vineyards, and producers that define Burgundy.

There is perhaps no wine region that rewards study quite like Burgundy. Once you've learned the foundations, an entirely new layer begins to emerge—villages, premiers crus, grand crus, producers, vintages, and the subtle stylistic differences that define each.

Following the success of our previous seminar, Burgundy 201 returns with a deeper exploration of the region through comparative tasting, helping to make sense of one of the wine world's most endlessly fascinating landscapes.

Attendees will receive 10% off their same-day purchase in-store. Valid on full price, in-stock items only.

Classes will be hosted by Davis Steller, who has worked with wine from the vineyard to the cellar to the dining room. He's farmed at California estates including Mayacamas, Oakville Ranch, and Laurel Glen; made wine at Diamond Creek and Aubert in Napa, as well as in Umbria; and worked as a sommelier at Blue Hill. That range gives him a considered perspective on wine — from how it's grown, to how it's made, to how it arrives, finally, in the glass.
