James Suckling’s Top 100 Italian Wines of 2026 has arrived, and the biggest news is right at the top: Fuligni Brunello di Montalcino 2021 is the #1 wine of the year. One of Montalcino’s historic estates has claimed the list’s highest honor with a 99-point Brunello that Suckling praised for its finesse, ultra-fine tannins and beautiful balance. Falstaff went even further, awarding it a perfect 100 points.
