Refund policy
Except for any products designated on the Zachys website or in-store as final sale, clearance or non-returnable, Zachys at its sole discretion may accept a return of a purchased product for a refund or store credit equivalent to the purchase price less the original shipping and handling costs.
To make a return inquiry, please call (866) 922-4971 or email clientservices@zachys.com within seven (7) days of the delivery of the ordered goods or receipt of invoice.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, all acceptable returns must be received by Zachys within thirty (30) days of purchase with valid proof of purchase and provided further that (i) Zachys still stocks the goods to be returned, (ii) items are not a final sale or clearance product, and (iii) such goods are returned in their original unopened and sellable condition. No returns of any type will be accepted without Zachys’ express authorization.
You are responsible for all shipping and handling charges on any returned items. You bear the risk of loss or damage during shipment. All returns of in-stock purchases are subject to a 10% restocking fee. All cancellations of pre-arrival purchases are subject to a 10% cancellation fee.
Refunds are typically processed within ten (10) business days of Zachys’ receipt of the returned goods or cancellation request. Your refund will be credited back to the same payment method used to make the original purchase or issued as store credit. Zachys will not be responsible for any charges or fees levied against you by your financial or banking institution for any returns and will not be held responsible for any delay in refunds caused by events or parties outside of our control, including your financial institution.
Returns and refunds are specifically not acceptable if a package was shipped during unsuitable weather upon your request and product arrived damaged. If you request shipment of wine, either by email, phone, or by selecting a shipment type on the website, that product will not be authorized for return due to weather-related concerns or damage. We encourage you to utilize our complimentary 90 days of storage and to ship during appropriate weather conditions.
Zachys cannot guarantee the in-kind replacement of bottles being returned or damaged. Given the limited nature of the products we sell and the legal restrictions on purchasing only from specific vendors, some wines cannot be replaced. In those instances, Zachys will issue a refund based on the original purchase price of the item and not its current market value.
All wines with a vintage dating more than 15 years old are considered a final, non-refundable sale. Even when properly sourced and stored, older bottles are more susceptible to flaws, and thus you assume the risk of a possibly flawed bottle. Zachys will also not accept returns of these older bottles if the wine is no longer drinkable or as expected. The development of the wine over time can be unpredictable and there can be variations from bottle to bottle.
