Xarel-lo Penedes Cisteller 2023 (750ML)

92 Points, Luis Gutiérrez, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2023 Xarel.lo is a still white from three plots, two in the Ordal zone of Penedès and one in Garraf, the stony and warm place; the three plots have similar limestone soils and a similar Mediterranean climate. It fermented by plot with the juice from the direct pressing at very low pressure in stainless steel, concrete amphorae and used 300-liter French and Hungarian barrels with indigenous yeasts. The different fermentations were kept with the fine lees through the autumn and winter with different levels of bâtonnage, then blended and let to settle in stainless steel until bottling. It's a vibrant white with salinity and concentration from a low-yielding year. The vines were dehydrated, and the wine has more volume, more power, still a little creaminess and a little more oak than the others. It has 12.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.08 and 6.5 grams of acidity, and it finishes with a chalkier sensation. They sell it a little later with some more time in bottle. 5,300 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2024." 05/26
