92-94 Points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous: "The 2025 de Pez is a very serious wine. Blackberry, menthol, licorice, scorched earth, tobacco and incense are all beautifully amplified in the glass. There's gorgeous textural breadth, complexity and class here. All the elements are so well balanced." 04/26

93 Points, Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux: "Plenty of density and silky tannins, with cassis, cappuccino and cocoa beans, high freshness but with real juice and flavour behind. 3.6ph. 8% of press wine. Frederic Rouzaud's father bought this in 1995, and the estate then underwent 20 years of replanting, increasing the Cabernet Sauvignon in the vineyard. The results are clear. 80% 225l oak and 20% foudres, 50% new oak, 3.6pH. 50% new oak. Harvest September 3 to 23." 04/26

93-94 Points, James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com: "A firm and juicy red with aromas of berries, chocolate and a touch of hazelnuts. It’s medium-bodied and rather linear, with some softness to it and savoriness at the end. 56% cabernet sauvignon, 42% merlot and 2% cabernet franc." 04/26

92-94 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: "The 2025 Château de Pez, which contains no Petit Verdot this year, is matured in 50% new oak for 18 months. Nicolas Glumineau said that he is trying to make this more refined with "layers of tannins". It has a reserved nose, quite stony/minerally, with hints of graphite percolating through the black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, unadulteratedly classic in style with an off-dry, quintessentially Saint-Estèphe finish. Tasted twice and, in fact, the second sample from a sample raised in a Cadus barrel with a lower toasting was better." 05/36

93-95+ Points, Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com: "A seriously good Saint-Estèphe in the making, the 2025 Château De Pez opens with rocking aromatics of cassis, attractive red fruit, flowers, and chocolate. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied and round, with a beautifully layered mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great, great finish. This is one hell of an impressive barrel sample." 05/26

94 Points, Georgina Hindle, Decanter: "Lovely clear fragrance. Purity of red berries straight away, this is super refined and juicy. Wow this is exceptional, so pure and finessed, beautifully fine and filagreed. There’s density but no overt muscularity and flesh. This is straightforward and well defined, more layered than dense -– so beautifully presented. There’s a real refinement here at Pez, one of the best Ep samples I’ve tasted from this estate – a salty, black liquorice undertone. Juicy, fruity, supple with clarity and poise. Almost chalky tannins with a wet stone grip on the finish. Just delicious. 3.6pH. A yield of 39hl/ha. Ageing 50% new oak." 03/26
