Critic Reviews
James Suckling
96-97 Points
96-97 Points, James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com: "A serious Aile d'Argent with sliced green mangoes, pears and green apples. Full-bodied. Framed with phenolics and minerals. Complex and real. A touch of flint and cedar at the end. Super finish. A blend of 63% sauvignon blanc, 29% semillion, 7% sauvignon gris and 1% muscadelle." 04/26

93-95 Points
93-95 Points, Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com: "A blend of 63% Sauvignon Blanc, 29% Sémillon, 7% Sauvignon Gris, and a splash of Muscadelle, the 2025 Château Mouton Rothschild Aile D'Argent Blanc offers bright green citrus, crushed stone, minty herb, and savory aromatics, with an incredibly mineral-driven character. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, with bright, racy acidity and a clean finish. This exotic, complex, perfumed white is going to benefit from a few years in the cellar and I suspect have a long drinking window." 05/26
Decanter
96 Points
96 Points, Georgina Hindle, Decanter: "Fragrant, floral and full of fruity aromas on the nose - grassy too, with elderflower, crisp green apple and peach. Lively and tangy, this has acidity and a certain weight that kicks in almost straight away but is perfectly matched to ripe, just-fleshy apple and white plum fruit with a clean, very clear salty ending. It’s a little subdued after the initial burst of flavour, but there’s something really quite delicate and finessed about this. Cool and fresh, finishes chalky. No hot fruit/tropical characteristics. Lovely. Earliest ever harvest. No malolactic fermentation. 1% Muscadelle completes the blend. 3.13pH." 03/26
Antonio Galloni
91-93 Points
91-93 Points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous: "The 2025 Aile d’Argent is potent and deep. The blend is Sauvignon Blanc-based, but that is not especially evident in the early going. Citrus confit, white flowers, mint and chalk open with a bit of time in the glass. The team, led by Technical Director Jean-Emmanuel Danjoy, opted for a bit more bâtonnage to compensate for the early harvest, a choice that paid off handsomely. The 2025 is a serious Aile d’Argent for the dinner table." 04/26
Wine Advocate
90-92 Points
90-92 Points, Yohan Castaing, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2025 Aile d'Argent, a blend of 63% Sauvignon Blanc, 29% Sémillon, 7% Sauvignon Gris and 1% Muscadelle, all matured in 45% new oak, reveals aromas of confit citrus and pear, with a slightly more white-fruited profile than usual. Medium-bodied, juicy, straight and tense, it’s fresh and ethereal, concluding with subtle clove notes on the finish. It's a well-crafted and elegant rendition." 04/26
Jane Anson
96 Points
96 Points, Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux: "White flowers, white peach, soft pear, grilled cloves and cumin, a full mouth experience of fresh acidities, expansive slate texture and a ton of juice. This is a white that needs a year or two to reveal its full complexity, as there is clear phenolic structure, and it will only widen and deepen with a little more age. Excellent, a little hidden right now. 3.13 pH. Harvest August 19 to 29. 45% new oak, the earliest picking on record, no malolactic fermentation this year, because the richness was there, instead lees stirring during ageing. Jean-Emmanuel Danjoy technical director." 04/26
