Jeb Dunnuck
99 Points
99 Points, Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com: "A vivid purple color, with a sensational nose of crème de cassis, classy oak, espresso, and liquid violet, the 2023 EE Red Wine is based on 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Cabernet Franc raised all in new barrels. It's full-bodied, has a deep, seamless, layered mouthfeel, ultra-fine tannins, remarkable purity, and a great finish. Virtually perfect, drink this majestic, flat-out awesome wine over the coming 20-25 years. Drink 2025-2050. (Drink between 2025-2050)" 12/25

97 Points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous: "The 2023 Red Blend EE opens with mocha, dried flowers, menthol, licorice, cedar and sweet pipe tobacco. Bright and bold, with punchy red fruit and fabulous balance, the 2023 hits all the right notes. The EE is one of the more restrained and precise wines in this range, largely because the Cabernet Franc at 45% is such a prominent part of the blend. All of the Cabernet Sauvignon is from Tench, while the Franc is from Tin Box, Phelan and Sugarloaf. (Drink between 2027-2040)" 11/25
Wine Advocate
96-98 Points
96-98 Points, Joe Czerwinski, Robert Parker's Wine AdvocatE: "Over the past few years, sourcing for Bevan's EE Red Wine has moved from Tench in Oakville to Sugarloaf in southern Napa. Fortunately, quality continues to rule. The 2023 EE Red Wine—a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Cabernet Franc and 5% Merlot—boasts floral, gently leafy scents alongside hints of violet, folding in mixed red and black cherries and even raspberries. It's full-bodied but also pretty and charming, with a supple, silky mouthfeel and a long finish framed by softly dusty tannins. It's terrific stuff." 06/25
