95+ Points, John Gilman, View from the Cellar: "The 2023 Griotte-Chambertin from Maison Joseph Drouhin is another great wine in the making and quite black fruity in personality this year. The bouquet is simply beautiful, wafting from the glass in a blend of black cherries, sweet dark berries, espresso, grilled meats, mustard seed, a gorgeous base of chalky soil tones, woodsmoke and spicy oak. On the palate the wine is pure, precise, sappy at the core and full-bodied, with a fine chassis of ripe, seamless tannins, fine backend mineral drive, and a very long, impeccably balanced and complex finish. 92-95 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "An earthier and not so intensely floral nose reflects spicy notes of ripe maraschino cherry, underbrush and hints of just turned earth. The delicious, succulent and seductive medium-bodied flavors are at once seductive yet powerful while delivering excellent length on the sappy finish where the only nit is a touch of warmth. This is a lovely Griotte that should also age gracefully over the next 12 to 15 years. (Drink starting 2035)" 04/25

92-95 Points, Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy: "Dark crimson purple with also a darker cherry fruit, the Griotte-Chambertin unsurprisingly comes across as a little sterner and less sensual when tasted immediately after Les Amoureuses. Instead, it is much more structured, with fine tannins and fair persistence."

92-94 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: " The 2023 Griottes-Chambertin Grand Cru comes from two parcels on chalky soil. It has a slightly more savory nose with finely delineated hints of brown spices infusing the red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied, with quite firm tannins compared to other cuvées. This is a relatively muscular Griottes, with white pepper and hints of clove on its layered and persistent, dried blood-tinged finish. Like the Les Amoureuses, this will need time.
