Critic Reviews
Antonio Galloni
91-93 Points
91-93 Points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous: "The 2024 Clerc Milon is packed with blue/purplish fruit, lavender, sage, dried flowers and mocha. Juicy and forward, Clerc Milon has a lot to recommend it. Time in the glass brings out gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon savoriness to complement the wine's mid-weight structure. Lovely. Tasted two times." 04/25
Jane Anson
94 Points
94 Points, Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux: "Excellent quality, well defined, you see the grip of the terroir here, and the floral edge of Cabernet and Carmanère, with its spicy side, and beautiful lift. Clearly needs time to full open, this has the cassis, cigar box and leather feel of a great old school Pauillac. Lovely. Harvest 24 September to 6 October. 3.72 pH. 55% new oak." 04/25
The Wine Independent
91-93 Points
91-93 Points, Lisa Perrotti-Brown, The Wine Independent: "Deep garnet-purple colored. Needs a little swirling to bring out notes of red currants and fresh blackberries, plus nuances of underbrush, bay leaves, and graphite. The light to medium-bodied palate has a silky texture and bright red berry flavors with savory accents and a refreshing finish." 05/25
Jeb Dunnuck
90-92 Points
90-92 Points, Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com: "The Grand Vin 2024 Château Clerc Milon from this château checks in as 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc, Carmenère, and Petit Verdot. The élevage here will span 18 months in 55% new barrels. As always, this has an incredible sense of minerality that reminds me of Saint-Émilion. Ripe black cherries, graphite, crushed stone, and floral notes, as well as nicely integrated oak, all define the aromatics, and it's medium-bodied, has a pure, layered mouthfeel, and ripe tannins." 05/25
James Suckling
94-95 Points
94-95 Points, James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com: "Very well-made, showing warm bread and graphite to the darker fruit. Not quite dense, this is balanced, juicy and supple in the center, showing a mix of black and red berries and cedar in the finish. Medium- to full-bodied, focused and nicely structured. It has fine, firm tannins and a long, nuanced finish. Classic Bordeaux without any sweetness." 05/25
