Yves Leccia Domaine d'E Croce Patrimonio Blanc 2024 (750ML)

Vermentinu, Corsica's native white grape, known elsewhere as Rolle, is the whole of Yves Leccia's Domaine d'E Croce Patrimonio Blanc. Leccia has a reputation as an exacting, rigorous grower, and his organically farmed vines grow on schist-veined soils facing the Gulf of St. Florent. The 2024 opens on a touch of reduction and crushed rock, then ripe stone fruit. The palate is pure, lively and well balanced, with real energy throughout and a clear mineral drive beneath the fruit. Savory depth fills the middle, and the close is fresh and faintly salty. Critics see it drinking well through 2030. Set it beside grilled sea bass with fennel, brocciu-stuffed zucchini flowers or a wedge of aged sheep's-milk cheese.
