Those warm vintage tones are followed by an ample use of oak that adds baking spice and toasted nutmeg. There is a hint of campfire ash or something blackened or toasted at the core of this full-bodied Tuscan blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petite Verdot. The 2022 signals a transition towards a more restrained style than in the past, something that is hard to fully see in a vintage marked by late-season rain but that is nevertheless quite evident.
