Critic Reviews

James Suckling
92-93 Points
92-93 Points, Jacobo Garcia Andrade, JamesSuckling.com: "Dark fruit with a touch of graphite on the nose. The palate is medium- to full-bodied with focused tannins that are discreet yet expressive and a subtle, juicy dark fruit character." 04/26
Wine Advocate
93-94 Points
93-94 Points, Yohan Castaing, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "intense dark plum, medium to full acidity, earthy and ripe brambled fruits, love this, beautiful depth of aromatics. Definitely one that needs time over ageing to soften and broaden, because there are plenty of elements here, with breadth and power, but pulls up tight on the finish." 04/26
Decanter
90 Points
90 Points, Georgina Hindle, Decanter: "Dark fragrance on the nose. Quite high toned fruit, really focussed on the mouth-watering red berry fruit, searing almost, with lots of chalky, wet stones and liquorice giving a mineral menthol and slightly spiced undertone. But this carries power and focus, not heavy or fleshy, but nicely constructed with good drive and focus. Not the most complex, but well delivered. Will be easy to drink with a touch of sweetness adding an extra nuance. 3.50pH, Ageing 12 months, 20% new oak." 03/26
Antonio Galloni
92-95 Points
92-95 Points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous: "The 2025 Sociando-Mallet is a total head-turner. What a wine. Dark and explosive, with tons of energy, the 2025 is fabulous right out of the gate. Supple contours and plush dark fruit announce an important wine of tremendous pedigree and character. Dark red/blue fruit and exotic spice tones lend richness and vibrancy, while brisk acids convey salivating energy." 04/26
