Critic Reviews
James Suckling
94-95 Points
94-95 Points, James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com: "Very lemony, with botanicals and spices on the nose and palate. It's medium-bodied with tangy acidity and a long and flavorful finish. Energetic. 76.5% semillon and 23.5% sauvignon blanc." 04/26
Jeb Dunnuck
91-93 Points
91-93 Points, Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com: "Honeyed citrus, pear, and orange all emerge from the 2025 Le Clarte De Haut-Brion Blanc, a beautiful second wine from this reference point estate in Pessac that has a fresh, focused, and elegant style. On the palate, it's balanced and has a certain salty minerality, as well as outstanding length. It will shine right out of the gate." 05/26
Antonio Galloni
90-92 Points
90-92 Points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous: "The 2025 La Clarté de Haut-Brion is a wine built on serious texture. Lemon confit and mint emerge on the very dense palate, accented by hints of chamomile, acacia and dried flowers. This has real textural presence and the character to match. As a reminder, La Clarté is the second wine of both Haut-Brion and La Mission Haut-Brion." 04/26
Decanter
92 Points
92 Points, Georgina Hindle, Decanter: "Lanolin, waxy lemons, elderflower and green apple aromas on the nose. A slightly rich, oily, waxy texture filled with quite cool and crystalline citrus and orchard fruit. A dollop of sweet pineapple lingers on the mid–palate giving depth and nuance while the frame slowly expands, keeping a really cool aspect – textured and weighed rather than too crisp. Ends cool. Could do with a touch more persistence of fruit but there’s purity, delicacy and easy drinkability with length. 3.2pH." 03/26
Wine Advocate
91-93 Points
91-93 Points, Yohan Castaing, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2025 La Clarté de Haut-Brion, a blend of 76.5% Sémillon and 23.5% Sauvignon Blanc (50% Haut-Brion and 50% La Mission Haut-Brion), reveals a refined, spicy and fresh bouquet with notes of ripe white fruits. Medium- to full-bodied, round and enveloping, it’s built around a core of fruit with notable dry extract, combining freshness with a sense of movement on the palate. It's a particularly successful rendition of this cuvée." 04/26
Jane Anson
91 Points
91 Points, Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux: "Always a wonderful white wine, and this has real charm, white pear, garden apples, an orchard feel that is not the case every year, suggested hidden depths rather than the exuberance of some vintages. Totally beautiful, drawn out, pumice and slate. 23hl/ha yield, August 14, 2nd earliest harvest in history after 2003, just one day earlier. Harvest August 14 to 21. 59% new oak. Grégoire Bucaille vineyard manager. 3.35ph" 04/26
