Domaine Abbatucci Monte di Mare Vin de France Rouge 2023 (750ML)

Roughly 2,000 bottles of Monte di Mare were made in 2023, all from a single parcel that Jean-Charles Abbatucci farms biodynamically in Corsica’s Taravo Valley. The wine is 100% Sciaccarellu, grown on granite. Its texture manages to feel both weightless and rich at once, a silky, mouth-coating quality that carries bright fruit: blood orange first, then cassis and fresh raspberry. Underneath sits a mineral core with a hint of brine that keeps the finish savory and mouthwatering. It opens up with about an hour in a decanter and shows best served slightly cool, around 14–16°C. Grilled tuna, pork loin roasted with fennel or an aged sheep’s-milk cheese will bring out its brighter side.
