Decanter
99 Points
99 Points, Simon Field MW, Decanter: "And so from P1 methuselah to P2, which for Geoffroy ‘goes beyond Champagne’. P2, he continues, must be ‘deeper, richer, longer…better than P1' - otherwise why release it? Well, they haven't yet, although it's pencilled in for later in 2019. Here we have drive, vinosity and incredible length. The sweet and savoury balance indulges with a seductive embrace. Gustav Klimt in a glass maybe. Outstanding. (Drink between 2019-2040)"

97+ Points
97+ Points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous: " The 2002 Dom Pérignon P2 is surprisingly, almost shockingly, austere and tightly wound. That almost surely bodes well for the future. Today, though, the 2002 is very hard to taste. Stylistically, it is also much less available than the original release. Readers lucky enough to own the 2002 should plan on being patient. (Drink between 2022-2042)"
James Suckling
98 Points
98 Points, James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com: "Intense, rich and dense P2 with butterscotch and toffee character, together with apricot compote, mango crumble and pie crust. This is at its height right now. Tremendous pleasure and generosity. In a beautiful place. Disgorged 2018. Drink now." 06/22

20 Points, Jancis Robinson, MW, JancisRobinson.com: "This was a preview of a wine soon to be released. Richard Geoffroy was told P2 was ‘beyond champagne’ which he didn’t like – he feels it’s Dom Pérignon but more so. Great drive and line. A really linear wine that initially seemed like a corseted version of 2002 but is actually so intense and concentrated that is tastes like Dom Pérignon squared."
