It will be interesting to see if the 2020 softens in bottle. Today, it is decidedly nervous. Even so, the Villero has real palate presence and notable explosive energy." 11/23

The Oddero 2020 Barolo Villero has an interlude of sweet cherry and plump fruit, but then it veers toward tart fruit flavors followed by fine powdery tannins. Smoothness is a theme that continues throughout. It ages in large French oak casks and spends six months in cement vat to better integrate. Production is 6,000 bottles." 05/24

Weightless, with good ripeness, it’s long on the palate and has a lasting perfume of dried apricot.
