Dark bramble berries plumb mineral depths, and stony tannins are seamlessly stitched in, ultimately yielding with a gratifying crunch. The finish trails off leisurely with heady floral perfumes. At the southern edge of Rocche di Castiglione, Oddero’s 0.68 hectare slice abuts Bussia, so technically falls into the township of Monforte d’Alba. The vertiginously steep, east-facing slope is characterised by particularly shallow soil rich in limestone. The site typically yields wines with enduring class, and this 2021 is no exception." 01/25
