Wine Advocate
94 Points
94 Points, Monica Larner, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Oddero 2022 Barolo is a blend of fruit from three MGA sites: Bricco Chiesa and Capalot in La Morra, together with Fiasco in Castiglione Falletto. The wine opens with generous aromas of cassis and wild cherry that set the stage for an expressive bouquet of lifted red fruit, rose petal and delicate floral notes. Crushed stone and dusty chalk add a savory mineral edge that carries through to the elegant finish. Despite the hot, dry growing season, this wine highlights the graceful side of the 2022 vintage with finesse, freshness and balance. Fermented spontaneously and aged for about 24 months in large oak casks, it is a solid recommendation at this price. 40,000 bottles were produced." 07/26

93 Points, Audrey Frick, JebDunnuck.com: "Coming from vineyards in Bricco Chiesa, Capalot, Bussia, and Fiasco, the 2022 Barolo pours a medium red hue. Aromas of cherries, spice, potpourri, and fresh herbs emerge from the glass. Medium-bodied, it offers refreshing purity, with balanced acidity and excellent length. Bussia was particularly dry in this vintage and suffered more hydric stress, which led the fruit to be included in the classico rather than bottled separately. This is a beautifully balanced and classic expression that is already appealing. Potential production is roughly 40,000 to 45,000 bottles. Drink 2026-2036." 04/26

94 Points, Aldo Fiordelli, JamesSuckling.com: "A fresh and fragrant wine with assertive aromas of blood oranges, dried roses, aromatic herbs and a hint of citrus. Full-bodied with firm tannins. It’s tightly knit and muscular yet balanced, with a blond tobacco aftertaste. Drinkable now, but best from 2027." 01/26
