The 2022 Trousseau saw the addition of a new planting from Las Cimas vineyard, growing in weathered sandstone in the hills of western Russian River Valley. 80% of the fruit still comes from the Luchsinger vineyard in the Big Valley of the Clear Lake AVA, grown in volcanic alluvium over ancient riverbed stones at 1,400’ elevation. Harvested and fermented separately, 75% whole-cluster, native yeast fermentation, then aged in neutral barrels and blended just before bottling. 27 barrels produced. Harvest date: 8/16, 9/11. First Vintage: 2009

The 2024 Trousseau is a very pretty wine. Sweet crushed red cherry fruit, cedar, mint, pipe tobacco and orange peel waft from the glass. Medium in body but also quite deep, the Trousseau is a gorgeous Arnot-Roberts wine. The 100% stems add aromatic lift. In 2024, the blend is 75% Luchsinger (the historical site for this wine) and 25% Las Cimas fruit.
