Rosso dei Notri Tua Rita 2024 (750ML)

The 2024 marks the second year Tua Rita has fermented and aged its Rosso dei Notri in cement, and a share of whole berries in the ferment gives it a lifted, semi-carbonic perfume. The blend rests on 40% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, with 10% each of Syrah and Cabernet Franc, drawn from the estate’s youngest vines in Suvereto. Ripe strawberry and sweet cherry lead, edged with floral notes, cedar and a hint of leather, while bitter herbs and tobacco leaf add a savory counterweight. It is medium-bodied and juicy, with fine tannins and a soft, creamy undertow, and at 13.5% alcohol it stays light on its feet. Built for the near term, critics see it at its best from 2026 into the early 2030s. Think casual and generous: salami pizza, grilled Italian sausages or eggplant parmigiana.
