The equally cool, pure and relatively dense medium weight flavors coat the palate with sap while displaying impressive depth and persistence on the very firm, compact and unapologetically built-to-age finale. 94-96 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: "The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Saint-Jacques 1er Cru offers an extremely focused and detailed bouquet with vibrant, mineral-inflected redcurrant and strawberry fruit. The medium-bodied palate features ripe dark cherry and strawberry on the entry, with a hint of vanilla from the oak. It finishes quite linear in style, as if it's holding something back for later.
