95-97 Points, Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy: "The Chambertin Clos de Bèze has been vinified in barrel with whole bunches. A rich crimson purple. The sensuality and the structure combine very well on the nose. Some spice is mixed in with the fruit, emanating from the vinification method. The rich, deep, succulent and sensual finish is enhanced by a few little crunchy details. The sumptuous nature of the raspberry fruit suggests it ws only just picked in time, but it does deliver a marvellous, long and seductive finish." 11/24

93-96 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "A dazzlingly spicy and perfumed nose consists of anise, sandalwood and tea along with hints of violet, lilac and black pinot fruit. The middle weight flavors are not quite as dense as those of the Griotte but they are finer with, somewhat surprisingly, more apparent minerality on the suave, highly seductive and strikingly long finale. 96 Points, John Gilman, View from the Cellar: "The Drouhin family’s 2023 Chambertin “Clos de Bèze” is yet another brilliant example of this fine vintage. The wine delivers a deep, complex and very classy aromatic constellation of cassis, black cherries, a nice touch of whole clusters, grilled meats, mustard seed, cedar, coffee bean and plenty of upper register smokiness. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, focused, tangy and sappy at the core, with fine-grained tannins, outstanding mineral undertow and grip, lovely balance and a very, very long, complex finish. Full-bodied, ample and velvety, it's seamless and fleshy, with lively acids and a long, gently oak-inflected finish. It's the usual blend of domaine and purchased fruit." 01/25

92-94 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: "The 2023 Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze Grand Cru undergoes two vinifications from Drouhin's own parcel and one from purchased fruit that was picked late. It has an intense nose with raspberry, mulberry, licorice and bergamot notes. The palate is medium-bodied and here that late-picked fruit does make its mark, perhaps shaving away some of the delineation and nerve that I discerned on the previous vintage. It is quite peppery on the finish and aftertaste. Give this four or five years in a bottle. (Drink between 2028-2052)" 01/25
