97 Points, Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com: " I loved the 2022 Clos De Sarpe, a wonderfully pure, complex, seamless Saint-Emilion based on 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. Its inky purple/ruby hue is followed by a brilliant, youthful nose of crème de cassis, spring flowers, crushed stone, and graphite. Medium to full-bodied and concentrated on the palate, it has ripe, polished tannins, wonderfully integrated oak, flawless balance, and a great finish. It offers pleasure today, yet this is built for the long haul as well and will ideally be given 5-7 years of bottle age and enjoyed over the following 2-3 decades. (Drink between 2032-2062)" 02/25

97 Points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous: " The 2022 Clos de Sarpe is fabulous. Brisk, aromatic and vibrant, the 2022 captures the intensity this site is known for. Dark red/purplish fruit, blood orange, spice, new leather and dried herbs make a strong first impression. Bright saline notes liven up the finish. This is quite simply one of the best editions of Clos de Sarpe I have tasted. (Drink between 2028-2052)" 01/25

94 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: "The 2022 Clos de Sarpe has an expressive bouquet with mainly black fruit, light anis notes and hints of rose petal coming through with time. The palate is medium-bodied, harmonious, quite fleshy and silky in texture, with fine tannins and a slightly creamy yet tensile finish. This is a well-crafted and seductive Saint-Émilion that is certainly cut from a finer cloth compared to the vintages I was tasting a decade back. This is recommended. (Drink between 2028-2048)" 02/25
