Critic Reviews

James Suckling
94 Points
94 Points, James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com: "Aromas of fresh strawberries, fresh flowers and orange blossom follow through to a medium body, with firm and chewy tannins that have a fine texture. Bright and vivid. Reserved at the end. Needs time. From organically grown grapes. Try after 2027 and beyond." 07/23
Wine Spectator
95 Points
95 Points, Bruce Sanderson, Wine Spectator: "Tightly wound yet complex, this red displays cherry, strawberry, rose hip, mineral and dried hay aromas and flavors aligned with lively acidity and dense, refined tannins, which define the flavors and carry them to a lingering conclusion. Best from 2027 through 2045. 500 cases made, 52 cases imported." 04/24
Jeb Dunnuck
97 Points
97 Points, Audrey Frick, JebDunnuck.com: "Medium red/orange in hue, the 2019 Barolo Liste is floral and pretty with fresh notes of rose petals, wild strawberries, spice, mint, and dried lavender. Linear and bright, it’s the most Piedmontese Barolo Borgogno makes. Coming from sandy soils with forest on either side that keeps temperatures a few degrees cooler, it’s quiet and tight and more reserved, but equally powerful in its expression. It offers understated depth and persistence, with notes of dried apricot lasting on the back palate. This is the most reserved of these wines and needs time. Drink 2026-2050. (Drink between 2026-2050)" 05/24

96 Points, Kerin O'Keefe, KerinOKeefe.com: "Pressed rose, camphor, wild red berry and whiffs of pipe tobacco lift out of the glass. Savory and succulent, the youthfully racy, full-bodied palate dazzles with great energy, delivering juicy red cherry, raspberry compote, star anise and cake spice set against a firm backbone of fine-grained tannins. It's vibrant and balanced, with bright acidity. Drink 2027–2044. Abv: 14.5%" 03/23
