The 2020 Barolo Monvigliero has a note of sweet spice, milky white chocolate, almond cookie, redwood, iris root and candied orange peel. As far as Monvigliero goes, this expression has a slightly rustic side that gives it a distinct personality within this portfolio. The tannins are extremely polished, or "tumbled," as someone who works with rocks might say. It glides clear over the palate. This inaugural release is represented by 2,300 bottles and 100 magnums." 04/24
