There is both good volume and a lovely sense of purity to the caressing yet quite powerful middleweight plus flavors that exude evident minerality on the hugely long, balanced and mildly austere finale. 95-97 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: " The 2022 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru, matured in 50% new oak with 20% whole bunches, has an entrancing, beautifully defined bouquet with mineral-rich black fruit, becoming ever more floral in the glass: rose bush and iris petals. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy black fruit laced with orange sorbet and allspice, building confidence towards its ripe and quite spicy finish. Sitting back on its haunches but this lack of immediacy makes it even finer. All at the back of the palate and then additional waves come through thereafter, blue fruit indeed.
