The exceptionally rich, even opulent, medium weight flavors possess fine mid-palate density where the seductive texture again contrasts with the serious, firm and powerful finish that is supported by bright but balanced acidity. 92-94 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: " The 2021 Pommard Les Epenots 1er Cru was a blend of Petit and Grand Epenots from the beginning of fermentation instead of separate vinifications. Matured in 40% new oak, it has a very precise bouquet with mineral-infused red berry fruit, vibrant and brimming with energy. The palate is very elegant though there is a little more substance and structure than Parent's other Pommards. The wine is granular in texture with a touch of iodine on the finish.
