93-95+ Points, William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Offering up a youthfully primary bouquet of cherries, wild berries, plums, sweet soil tones and spices, the 2020 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Aux Malconsorts is full-bodied, rich and muscular, with an ample, multidimensional mid-palate framed by fine but firm tannins. As ever, it's one of the least-evolved wines in the cellar." 01/22

94-96 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "A markedly more restrained nose only reluctantly displays its array of much more floral scented red currant, cherry and anise whiffs. Somewhat surprisingly, the larger-scaled flavors are not quite as dense but even so they are more powerful, muscular and minerality while the overtly firm supporting structure really becomes apparent on the dusty, youthfully austere and explosively long finish. As is usually the case at this stage, the Cathiard Malconsorts is largely a block of potential so plenty of patience will be required but it should ultimately be brilliant." 01/22

95-97 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: "The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Aux Malconsorts 1er Cru has a very intense and opulent bouquet that is currently less expressive than the Les Suchots, but I find more breeding and delineation here, more terroir expression. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, wonderful structure, certainly the spiciest as if there is some whole bunch in here (there is none)." 11/21
