94 Points, Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux: "Striking and deft placing of fruits and fresh acidities, with this vintage you see why La Conseillante at the time had the reputation for beng the great elegant face of Pomerol. At 10 years old it feels balanced and effortless, with gentle white pepper spice and fine tannins that are firm but juicy and with plenty of charcater. Early harvest from September 8 to 22. 65% new oak, 35% one year old barrels. 42hl/h yield."

93 Points, Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com: "The 2011 La Conseillante is impressive, and I suspect one of the gems in the vintage. Full-bodied, concentrated, and layered, with lots of spice, bouquet garni, graphite and assorted darker fruits, it has the classic elegance and polish of the estate and while still young, is drinking beautifully today. Enjoy bottles over the coming two decades. This tiny, yet brilliantly run estate covers 11.8 hectares of sandy, gravely soils located between Vieux Château Certain, Château L’Evangile, and Cheval Blanc. Managed by the talented and vivacious Marielle Cazaux, they produce one of the most exotic, perfumed, and elegant wines of the appellation, yet it never lacks for fruit and/or texture. Harvest is all by hand and done block by block, the grapes are fermented in concrete tanks, and the wine spends roughly 18 months in 70% new French oak, from a number of different coopers including Seguin-Moreau, Taransaud, Baron, and Darnajou. Production is around 3,200 cases. While all of the recent vintages showed beautifully, I suspect the 2016 will be the finest wine to date from this estate. (Drink between 2018-2038)"
