Three Sticks Gap's Crown Vineyard Sonoma Coast Chardonnay 2023 (750ML)

Three Sticks has farmed Gap’s Crown since 2012, and this Chardonnay comes from the vineyard’s roughly 27 acres of the variety. The site lies in the Petaluma Gap, a 15-mile break in the coastal hills that channels Pacific wind inland from Bodega Bay. That steady airflow, paired with afternoon sun, builds thicker skins and gives the fruit noticeable phenolic grip. 2023 brought a long, cool growing season, and it shows in the wine’s brightness. Citrus peel and pith lead, with lemon curd, white blossoms and a faint note of toasted nuts. On the palate, saline acidity and a sprig of thyme run alongside a gently textured core, ending clean and balanced. Critics place its best drinking between 2026 and 2035. Try it with halibut in beurre blanc, herb-roasted chicken, or crab Louie.
