Pinot Noir makes up 55% of Ruinart's Brut Rosé, alongside 45% Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims. The Pinot comes from the Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne, and part of it is vinified as red wine to give the color. Grapes are picked by hand across 40 to 50 crus, fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel and put through malolactic. Reserve wines from a range of years make up 20–30% of the blend, and the wine rests two to three years in the cellars before a dosage of 8 g/L. It pours a deep, saturated pink edging toward orange, and the palate is soft, broad and generous, full-bodied for a rosé. This release comes in Second Skin, a fully recyclable molded-paper casing in place of a gift box. Pour it with seared tuna, salmon tartare or thinly sliced prosciutto.

Critic Reviews

Wine Advocate
90 Points
90 Points, William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The latest rendition of Ruinart's NV Brut Rosé is a pretty, vibrant wine that offers up inviting aromas of tangerine, blood orange, plum and freshly baked bread. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and precise, with tangy acids and a pretty mousse, it's ca harming, comparatively vinous wine that is already showing well." 09/21
James Suckling
92 Points
92 Points, James Suckling, James Suckling.com: "The appeal of this excellent rosé Champagne begins with the nose of red berries, ripe nectarine, coriander and red roses. Striking balance of delicate tannins, animating freshness and just a touch of creaminess. Long, very clean and dry finish. The cuvée is 55% pinot noir from Aÿ (some fermented as red wine) and 45% chardonnay. Drink now." 12/21
Wine Spectator
94 Points
94 Points, Alison Napjus, Wine Specator: "A classy rosé that glides across the palate, with flavors of raspberry coulis, yellow peach, chamomile and blanched almond that expand on the creamy mousse and linger on the lightly spiced finish, powered by mouthwatering acidity. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Drink now through 2026." 11/21
