The Super Tuscan movement was never simply about Cabernet Sauvignon in Tuscany. It was about questioning tradition, challenging expectations, and proving that great wine could exist both inside and outside the rules.
In this blind comparative tasting, we'll explore several iconic Super Tuscans alongside one remarkable Sangiovese that asks an equally important question: does breaking the rules make a wine great, or can tradition still produce something extraordinary? Together, we'll discover that the answer may not be as obvious as it first appears.

Classes will be hosted by Davis Steller, who has worked with wine from the vineyard to the cellar to the dining room. He's farmed at California estates including Mayacamas, Oakville Ranch, and Laurel Glen; made wine at Diamond Creek and Aubert in Napa, as well as in Umbria; and worked as a sommelier at Blue Hill. That range gives him a considered perspective on wine — from how it's grown, to how it's made, to how it arrives, finally, in the glass.
