The predominantly Pinot Noir blend of the Grande Réserve Brut creates a very fine fruit, refreshed by the Chardonnay endowing it with an elegant, mineral finish. With 4 years minimum ageing in cellars, there is a balance between freshness and fruit without masking the wine’s character and purity. The nose shows freshness and fruit with notes of lemon meringue pie followed by yellow fruit such as Mirabelle plums with slightly honeyed and toasted notes. A blend of three vintages, the Grande Réserve Brut is adaptable by nature from apéritif to dessert.

Critic Reviews
James Suckling
92 Points
92 Points, James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com: "This is very fresh and has attractively flavorful, punchy fruit presence, in a very pure mode. Strawberries and grapefruit and some pastry and spiced-biscuit to close. Drink now." 09/19
Wine Spectator
93 Points
92 Points, Alison Napjus, Wine Spectator: "A fine, vivid backbone of acidity is well-meshed with flavors of black cherry, lemon curd and toasted brioche in this sleek Champagne. It's lightly plush and creamy in texture, with hints of smoke, candied ginger and honeycomb on the finish. Drink now through 2025. 2,000 cases imported." 12/20
Wine Advocate
92 Points
92 Points, William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aromas of crips orchard fruit, pear and apricot, mingled with hints of fresh bread and pastry, introduce the latest release of Gosset's NV Brut Grande Réserve, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy but incisive wine that's deceptively generous but also structured to reward some bottle age." 09/21
Decanter
94 Points
94 Points, Anne Krebiehl MW, Decanter: "The nose opens with the fresh ripeness of yellow apple and highlights of Granny Smith. It has beautifully subtle autolysis on the palate, deepening into notes of creamy apple crumble, Golden Delicious and Mirabelle plum, while remaining utterly strait-laced. Elegance, length and absolute freshness are inherent and quietly convincing." 12/20
Burghound
91 Points
91 Points, Allen Meadows' Burghound: Hints of yeast and toast add interest to the pretty aromas of lemon, green apple and poached pear nuances. There is again solid volume and mid-palate density to the delicious flavors that pick up some of the toasty character displayed by the nose while culminating in a nicely complex and lingering finish. The supporting mousse is firm without being aggressive and overall, this solidly complex effort is drinking very well now." 01/22
The Wine Independent
92 Points
92 Points, Sarah Mayo, The Wine Independent: "Gosset’s Grande Réserve Brut NV is a blend of 45% each Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with 10% Pinot Meunier that is aged a minimum of four years on lees and finished with an eight grams per liter dosage. Fragrant and assertive, the nose displays aromas of preserved lemon, red currant, elderflower, chalk, whipped butter and honey. Medium-bodied and fused with vibrant, shimmering acidity and plush red fruit concentration, the palate is elegant and balanced throughout and has pretty, floral notes on the finish." 11/23
Jeb Dunnuck
92 Points
92 Points, Audrey Frick, JebDunnuck.com: "With a base from 2018, the NV Champagne Grande Reserve Brut pours a bright straw hue and lifts from the glass with pure and inviting aromas of white peach, fresh flowers, and wet stone. Medium-bodied, with a fresh lift on the palate, a fresh pillowy mousse, and a delicate saline finish, this is a wonderful calling card for the freshness of the house style. Drink 2023-2030." 11/23
