Wine Advocate
91+ Points
91+ Points, Kristaps Karklins, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Delamotte’s latest NV Brut Blanc de Blancs is based on the 2019 vintage and complemented by reserve wines from 2018 and 2017. Disgorged in late 2024 with a dosage of seven grams per liter, it emerges from the glass with aromas of lemon confit, candied orange peel and shortbread cookie, mingled with Granny Smith apple. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied and concentrated, fleshy and textural, with a rich core of fruit underpinned by ripe yet racy acids and framed by chalky extract. It will strongly benefit from three to five years of post-disgorgement aging. It is sourced from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Avize and Oger." 03/26

94 Points, James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com: "This is always an excellent blanc de blancs, with sliced apple, lemon and other citrus fruit, as well as mineral and chalk. It's medium-bodied with lovely density and a fine, creamy texture. Energetic and translucent. 4 years on the yeast and 100% grand cru. Drink or hold." 07/24
Decanter
93 Points
93 Points, Tom Hewson, Decanter: "A benchmark entry-level non-vintage blanc de blancs in an effortlessly crisp, refined frame. Beautifully charred citrus, gunflint and sourdough aromas frame a gently persistent palate of ripe, juicy lemon and pear, drawn with unusual length and finesse. With just 10% reserve wine, the emphasis here is on brightness and energy. This score is for the magnum format. Only a few are made but the added quality represents fantastic value. (Drink between 2024-2027)" 04/24
John Gilman
91+ Points
91+ Points, John Gilman, View From The Cellar: "Delamotte’s non-vintage Blanc de Blancs Brut that is currently in the market is a lovely bottle. It is made entirely from grand cru vineyards, with the vins clairs fermented in stainless steel and the wine aged sur latte for a minimum of four years prior to disgorgement. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a refined and nicely high-toned constellation of pear, lemon, warm bread, white lilies and a fine base of chalky soil tones. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied and zesty, with a good core of fruit, frothy mousse, good mineral undertow and a long, nascently complex and vibrant finish. This is approachable today, but will be even better with another couple of years in the cellar to allow its fine girdle of acidity to relax a bit more and let out more complexity. 2020-2040." #89 10/20
Burghound
92 Points
92 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "An elegant, pure and overtly citrusy nose offers additional breadth in the form of green apple, quinine, and notably more evident floral nuances along with yeasty hints. The highly energetic and wonderfully refined middle weight flavors are supported by a markedly firmer, and finer, mousse on the very dry but not really austere finale. This is a wine that could be enjoyed now for its youthful vivacity and punch or easily held for 5 to 8 years if you enjoy a more mature expression, which is what I would suggest. Lovely. (Drink starting 2024)" 10/24

94 Points, Audrey Frick, JebDunnuck.com: "A bright silver/yellow color, the NV Champagne Blanc De Blancs Brut is based on the 2020 vintage and was aged for 48 months sur latte. Coming from Avize, Mesnil, and Oger, it has a very pretty and inviting, open feel with notes of green apples, pretty flowers, lemon-lime citrus, and chalky powder. Medium-bodied, it boasts a refined and elegantly rounded mousse, complemented by a clean and saline finish. Drink over the coming 10-15 years,The sister house to Salon, Delamotte owns 10 hectares of vineyards in Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, Cramant, and Avize. They purchase grapes from 80 hectares, mostly Chardonnay from Oiry and Chouilly, as well as some Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims in Bouzy, Ambonnay, and Tours-sur-Marne. A small amount of Meunier is purchased from around Epernay. When Salon does not produce a vintage wine, those parcels are used in the production of Delamotte bottlings. Like Salon, the wines are fermented and matured entirely in stainless steel; however, malolactic fermentation is achieved on a case-by-case basis. (Drink between 2025-2040)" 12/25
