94 Points, Audrey Frick, JebDunnuck.com: "Planted in 1969, this is also the last vintage they are going to make of the 2024 Chardonnay Purrington Rued Vineyard. It’s more forward with its reduction in the glass, but I like it. It has a rustic, almost iron-tinged lift with orange zest, peppery spice, peach, and golden apple fruit. It’s more savory on the palate, with bitter citrus. In some vintages this cuvée is more floral and honeysuckle-driven, but here it leans more savory, with a fleshy texture and honeycomb rather than honeysuckle. Drink over the next 8-10 years. 94 Points, Antonio Galloni, Antonio Galloni: "The 2024 Chardonnay Purrington Rued Vineyard is ethereal, beautifully perfumed and so expressive. Lime, petrol, jasmine, ginger and green apple lend notable aromatic intensity. As always, this is a very pretty and distinctive Chardonnay with the strong Alsatian inflections that are the essence of the Rued Clone. The 2024 is the last vintage for this bottling at Rivers-Marie." 01/26
