It sweeps across the palate with silken textures and racy red and black fruits as fine-grained tannins saturate toward the close. There is richness and freshness, with layers of plum, blackcurrant and sweet spice. The tannins are well managed. The wine delivers exactly what is expected without pushing beyond its stylistic boundaries.
