Critic Reviews
Antonio Galloni
94-96 Points
94-96 Points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous: "94-96 Points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous: "The 2024 Suduiraut offers up a beguiling mix of passion fruit, mango, pineapple and tangerine oil. Even with 130 grams of residual sugar, the 2024 is not an especially opulent Sauternes. I especially admire its freshness. What a beautiful and expressive wine." 04/25
Jane Anson
95 Points
95 Points, Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux: "This really is charming, full of marmalade and orange zest, saffron and lime, bitter finish in the best way, gives focus and rises up through the palate. 4.1 TA. 3.83 pH. 130 g/l. 50% new oak. Four passes through the vineyard through to 3rd week of October, with 2nd and 3rd being the heart. Pierre Montegut technical director across both Suduiraut and Pichon Baron. 11.3hl/h yield. Lovely, softly spoken, not the intensity of 2022, but just thoroughly appealing. Eric Boissenot consultant, as at Pichon and at Noval in Portugal." 04/25
James Suckling
95-96 Points
95-96 Points, James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com: "The complete opposite of the 2022 vintage. Fresher and less unctuous, with more delicate fruit, but there is still plenty of botrytis. Spices, sweet pineapple, lemons, marmalade, wax, fresh mangoes and bitter herbs. Medium lusciousness, with a round, creamy finish. 130 grams of sugar." 05/25
Neal Martin
93-95 Points
93-95 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: "The 2024 Suduiraut enjoyed an early development of botrytis in mid-September, so there is no passerillage. The second and third tries in mid-October formed the heart of the wine. It is very pure on the nose, less intense than the previous two vintages, offering wild honey, peach skin and light nectarine scents. The palate is well balanced with a fine thread of acidity. It is not as dense or unctuous as recent vintages, but there is wonderful tension with a pure and quite sensual finish. Excellent. 130g/l residual sugar." 04/25
Jeb Dunnuck
95-97 Points
95-97 Points, Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com: "Exotic citrus, orange blossom, honeyed mint, and floral notes all shine in the 2024 Château Suduiraut, a rocking gem of a Sauternes that's medium-bodied, has a concentrated, layered, rich mouthfeel, beautiful acidity, and a great finish. It's loaded with classic Sauternes magic." 05/25
The Wine Independent
95-97 Points
95-97 Points, Lisa Perrotti-Brown, The Wine Independent: "Erupts from the glass with powerful notes of lemon marmalade, lime cordial, and candied ginger, giving way to suggestions of candied orange peel, allspice, and beeswax. The rich, seductive, full-bodied palate delivers beautiful harmony with a racy backbone and creamy texture, finishing long and spicy." 05/25
