Kerin O`Keefe
95 Points
95 Points, Kerin O'Keefe, KerinOKeefe.com: "Made with grapes from the estate’s vineyards in La Morra, including Gattera, the 2021 Monfalletto opens with alluring scents of violet, rose, Alpine herb and dark spice. Full-bodied and loaded with class, the elegant, savory palate offers ripe Marasca cherry, cranberry, blood orange and licorice alongside taut, polished tannins and bright acidity. Drink 2028–2036. Abv: 14.5%" 02/25

93 Points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous: "The 2021 Barolo Monfalletto is gorgeous. Deep, pliant and expressive, the 2021 has a lot to offer. I would give this a few years in the cellar, as it is quite concentrated and deep. Black cherry, leather, spice, incense and licorice build nicely, leading to a rich, sumptuous finish. The Monfalletto is a beautiful, highly pleasing Barolo. All it needs is a bit of time to shed some of its considerable baby fat." 01/25

17++ Points, Walter Speller, JancisRobinson.com: "Grapes come from Gattera, Annunziata and Bricco di Manescotto in La Morra.Mid-to-deep crimson. Intense marasca cherry steeped in complex oak notes. Fresh, lush and with rich, crunchy tannins. Long and focused. (WS) (Drink between 2025-2032)" 11/24

92+ Points, Audrey Frick, JebDunnuck.com: "The inky red 2021 Barolo Monfalletto is woodsy and ripe on the nose, with lush balsamic herbs, baked black cherries, fruitcake-like walnut, and sweet spices. The palate is broad and leans to a full-bodied frame, with ripe tannins that are matched with a cushion of ripe fruit through the mid-palate and finish. It’s a hearty Barolo but doesn’t feel weighted and is going have a wide window for enjoyment over the next 15 or so years. (Drink between 2025-2040)" 05/25
Wine Advocate
93 Points
93 Points, Monica Larner, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Cordero di Montezemolo 2021 Barolo Monfalletto comes from various vineyards near the winery in La Morra. This wine offers a plump, slightly ripe fruit profile with black cherry, damson plum and menthol. This remains genuine and pretty all the while. It doesn't show the exacting depth of the top wines, but this well-priced Barolo delivers good cheer over a more accessible style. This is a release of 54,000 bottles." 06/25
James Suckling
95 Points
95 Points, James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com: "An intense, deep, vibrant wine full of spicy aromas of mint, licorice, balsamic, eucalyptus, dried violets and prunes. The attack is supple and dense, with a full body, refreshing acidity and firm tannins that are velvety and refined. Still austere in the finish, with the potential for aging. Try from 2027." 01/25
Decanter
92 Points
92 Points, Michaela Morris, Decanter: "An abundant 50,000-plus bottle production, the estate’s flagship wine comes from 14ha that expand over Gattera, spilling into the neighbouring MGA of Bricco Manescotto. Forthcoming in crushed raspberry and cherry, it exhibits its signature truffle notes along with touches of leather. The palate is tighter than the nose suggests: clean and energetic, it flaunts sumptuous red fruit wrapped in long, fine tannins. With bouncy bright acid, this is more about freshness and drinkability than sheer ageworthy depth. (Drink between 2025-2031)" 01/25
