94-96 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: " The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Vaucrains 1er Cru, the last Premier Cru to be served from barrel, has the finest nose: mineral-rich black and red fruit with exquisite detail. The most precise of Chevillon's Premier Crus. The medium-bodied palate offers ripe red fruit laced with marmalade and blood orange. It’s a little spicier than the Les Saint-Georges and grainier in texture, with a dash of brown spice on the finish. Outstanding. (Drink between 2028-2052)" 01/24

93-96 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "A more reserved nose grudgingly reflects notes of poached plum, earth, plenty of sauvage character and interesting whiffs of crushed star anise. There is a bit more minerality present on the vibrant and intense medium weight plus flavors that possess excellent delineation that carries over to the firm, compact and tautly muscular finish. This youthfully austere effort is going to require extended patience as it's both backward and very tightly wound yet oh so promising! (Drink starting 2037)" 01/24
