94 Points, Charles Curtis, Decanter: "The 2006 Haut-Brion shows riper black fruit aromas today than it did on my last encounter. Here they are complemented by hints of earth and cocoa. The texture is silky and elegant; there are no hard edges left, but plenty of substance to warrant further ageing. The grape blend is 57% Merlot - high for the property, but not unprecedented. The estate began to pick on 7 September (thus before the rain), and waited to bring in the Cabernet. The result is unusually successful for the vintage." 03/25

With medium to full-bodied richness and impressive mid-palate depth, it has fine, present tannin, impeccable balance, and a great finish.
