Created in 1818 by Madame Clicquot, this was the first known blended Rosé Champagne. It offers liveliness, a burst of fruits, and elegant aromas of strawberry and ripe wild strawberry. The full-bodied, structured palate is fresh and layered. Using 60 different crus and 45% reserve wines, it's based on the Yellow Label blend, with Pinot Noir providing structure, Chardonnay adding elegance, and a touch of Meunier for balance. 12% still red wine adds fruitiness, and the long aging process (3 years minimum) lends silkiness.
