Zachys loves both the Northern and Southern regions of the Rhone Valley equally, but differently! The Northern region steers towards tradition and focuses on only a handful of varietals in their winemaking, using mainly Syrah for reds and Viognier for whites. On the other hand, the Southern Rhône Valley embraces the art of blending and use more than 23 different varietals! Most notably Grenache and Mourvèdre for reds, and Marsanne, Roussanne, and Grenache Blanc for whites.
