Negroamaro

Grown almost exclusively in Puglia, Negroamaro, meaning “black-bitter,” is a medium bodied and aromatic red that Zachys suggest for Cabernet Franc and Zinfandel drinkers. While its name perfectly describes the rich color of the wine, it can be misleading for the flavor. Negroamaro is brimming with notes of black cherry and plum teaming up with dried herbs and due to its balanced acidity, it is often used to make rosé.
