Gamay
Whether it's a Beaujolais Nouveau or a gamay wine that can age, Zachys can't get enough of this high-acid, floral varietal. It got a bad rap in the 80s, but has bounced back with the rise of more serious Beaujolais wines from crus like Moulin-à-Vent, Fleurie and Morgon (some of our personal favorites). It also happens to be the perfect varietal to pair with food, due to its low tannins and high acidity, and makes the ideal accompaniement to Thanksgiving Dinner. But, if you ask us, we love Gamay-based wines all year round.
