91-93 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: "The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Les Chaumes 1er Cru is very expressive on the nose with raspberry, briary and a touch of crushed stone, hints of orange pith. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine bead of acidity, quite strict towards the finish but with commendable length. Fine, but this will need 4-6 years in bottle." 11/21

90-92 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "Ripe and attractively layered notes of exotic tea, anise and hoisin add breadth to the suave, round and very seductively textured middle weight flavors that tighten up noticeably on the dusty, persistent and youthfully austere finale. This will need at least a few years of keeping first." 01/22

93-96 Points, Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy: "Domaine and negociant fruit together so this will be under the negociant label. Maxime thinks the wine has been improved by his purchase of grapes from very old vines of pinot tordu. Beautiful nose, this is high class Vosne from an often overlooked vineyard. This wine brings us back to the effortless level, with good acidity at the back, plenty of fruit weight and a very persistent finish. The aromatics remain delicious, light on their feet." 11/21
