93-95 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: "The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Les Beau Monts 1er Cru marks the first time Jean-Nicolas Méo has produced a wine from this Premier Cru via his négociant arm. It has a well-defined nose, quite floral with violet and iris scents, a mixture of blueberry and raspberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied, very smooth and harmonious, quite expressive red fruit with just a judicious touch of spice towards the finish. Elegant and refined." 11/21

90-92 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "Here the expressive nose is very Vosne-like with its combination of ripe but cool dark berries, violet, jasmine tea and an interesting whiff of dried tangerine peel. The solidly concentrated and equally muscular flavors flash even more salinity on the robust, powerful and lingering finish. This is impressive in its fashion though I wouldn't describe it as typical." 01/22

93+ Points, John Gilman, View from the Cellar: "The new Vosne premier cru bottling of les Beaumonts chez Méo is a welcome new arrival in the lineup here. The wine is classically black fruity in both the style of the vintage and the signature of this terroir, offering up a refined aromatic constellation of sweet dark berries, black plums, a complex base of soil, bonfire, pigeon, coffee bean and new oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and rock solid at the core, with bright acids, lovely focus and grip, finegrained tannins and a long, complex and very nicely balanced finish.
