91-93 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: "The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Les Beaux Monts Vieilles Vignes 1er Cru has a very attractive, expressive bouquet of quite precocious macerated red cherries, kirsch, orange sorbet and hints of crème de cassis, a little showy but irresistible. The silky-smooth palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, more understated than the aromatics, and the finish is very cohesive and charming. Maybe it would benefit from more length, but it feels very natural and refined at the moment." 11/18

90-93 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "There is just enough reduction present to blur the nuance on the nose of spicy and floral-inflected dark cherry aromas. More interesting are the once again ultra-sleek, intense and beautifully precise medium weight flavors that are so mineral-driven that they're like rolling small pebbles around in the mouth, all wrapped in a clean, youthfully austere and linear finish. This is presently very tightly wound and will need bottle age to soften the firm tannins and add flesh to the finish. In short, this is classy but in no mood to come out and play." 1/19

92-95 Points, Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy: "Rich dense purple colour, a little less nose here as with all the racked wines. Then a wealth of ripe, darker fruit emerges. This is tense, with plenty of acidity at the back and some tannins too. The dark raspberry fruit is very engaging and sufficiently concentrated. On the one hand the floral aspect, on the other a strictness and mineral tension. Very promising." 12/18
