91-93 Points, William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Notes of smoked duck, plums, Asian spices, rose petal and orange rind introduce the 2017 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Aux Malconsorts, a medium to full-bodied wine that's the deepest, densest premier cru in the Dujac cellar this year, though it retains the suppleness and elegance that characterizes the vintage at this address. While its firm back-end structure will require some bottle age, I suspect it will always be more accessible than the 2016 and 2015 renditions." 1/19

93-95 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous:"The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Aux Malconsorts 1er Cru has a little more intensity on the nose compared to the Les Beaux Monts at the moment, while the fruit is a tad darker. The palate is compact on the entry, linear and strict, with blackberry, raspberry and touches of brine on the sturdy finish. This demonstrates the spine I look for in a Malconsorts. Give it three or four years once in bottle, because it punches at Grand Cru weight." 1/19

Sporting a vivid ruby, translucent color, it offers an amazingly complex bouquet of sweet red fruits, green herbs, spring flowers, and layers of spice. The palate follows suit and is medium-bodied, incredibly seamless, and pure, with fine tannins. This incredibly classic Vosne-Romanée is drinking fabulously well today, with both fruit and complexity, yet will keep for another 10-15 years. It's well worth seeking out." 03/19
