As is often the case, the Pierrières presents an explosive and crystalline expression of Chardonnay. Lemon, peel, crushed rocks, slate and dried pear are finely sketched. A wine of tension and energy, the Pierrières needs time in bottle to be at its very best. In this release, Les Pierrières is 50% 2014 and 50% 2013, bottled with 1.7 grams per liter of dosage.
