"94+ Points, Zachys Buying Team: “Tasted three times during En Primeur. With its prime location across from Troplong Mondot and near Tertre Rotebouef and Barde Haut, and Peter Kwok’s team, this small, biodynamically run estate is easily one of the most watched projects on the Right Bank. Their terraced vineyards with old vines reaches through the limestone and gets to the blue clay underneath and gives the wine depth and minerality to go along with its signature density of fruit. It is easily one of the values of the vintage and that is saying a lot as we tasted through 400+ wines. We had the same reaction with the 2015, but in 2016 there is more freshness, verve and energy. Sure, the silky texture and ripe tannins that has become a trademark of the estate is hugely present, there is lift and nuances to go along with the red and black fruit. The acidity is higher in 2016 and we believe this is their most complete wine to date. It is so good – you can almost drink it now. We are not alone, this wine sold out in a record two hours from the negociants, and has already sold out at many merchants across the world. Just 4,000 cases are produced and few wines deliver so much at this price point. Bravo to managing director Jean Christophe Meyrou and winemaker Jerome Aguirre for making a wine of this quality accessible to so many."""

94 Points; James Suckling: "Fantastic aromas of blackberries; flowers; chalk and blueberries. Medium to full body; firm and silky tannins and a flavorful finish. Intense and structured. Give it two or three years to soften." 2/17. . 93 Points; Zachys Buying Team: “We had this wine side-by-side with the 2015 release for a great comparison. While the 2015 is a riper more modern vintage; 2014 is more classic; offering a little less texture and richness; but awesome elegance just the same. There are greater aromatics here; and on the palate a similar red and black fruit profile that is presented in a slightly more toned down style with additional notes of licorice and mocha. We managed to obtain a few extra cases from the Chateau for those that do not want to wait to experience the magic of Saint-Christophe.” 4/16. . 93 Points; Neal Martin; Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Tour Saint-Christophe comes from Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes; the lieu-dit Cassevert; where proprietor Peter Kwok has built some quite startling terraces on the slope to improve the terroir (apparently recruited from Spain as only they possess the technical know-how). My; what a Saint Emilion this is. It has a very well-defined bouquet with crisp; pure mineral-rich red and black fruit. I like the focus here; there is an intention to perform at the top level that comes through where it matters—in the glass. The palate is silky smooth with a fine line of acidity; layers of red cherry and blueberry fruit; leading to a detailed and very satisfying; long finish. This 2014 serves notice of a new; bright kid on the block." 3/17. . 91 Points; Antonio Galloni; Vinous: "The 2014 Tour Saint-Christophe is powerful; deep and intense; just as it was from bottle. Readers should expect an opulent; voluptuous Saint-Émilion built on textural richness. Dark cherry; mocha; licorice and spice infuse the expressive finish. Tour Saint-Christophe continues to move in the right direction under the leadership of Peter Kwok. The blend is 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc." 2/17
